OBITUARY

Craig Anthony Dzamon

17 March, 195828 December, 2020

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Craig Anthony Dzamon.

At the age 62, Craig leaves to mourn his daughter Amber; grandchildren Mackenzie and Sydney; twin brother Curtis; sister Valerie (Wes); nieces and nephews Darren (Laura), Kendall (Blaine), Braeden, Scott (Katie), Kayla (Richard); great nieces and nephews; and Auntie Diane. Craig will be joining his predeceased mother Natalie, father Ernie, and grandparents Tillie, Walter, Mary and Al. Craig was born in Winnipeg, 4 minutes after his brother Curtis, making that the longest separation between the twins. His childhood was full of fun, games, hyperactivity, and mischief.

Craig’s twenties brought him a marriage and a daughter. Craig enjoyed camping, boating, water skiing, and spending time around the kitchen table with family and friends. Craig’s humor could be matched by no one. He loved the Winnipeg Jets and his dog Lacey dearly, but family was the most important thing to him. Craig was an owner operator with Gardewine/Northern Deck and devoted himself to long-haul transportation with tremendous vigour; he was greatly respected and widely known within the industry. The family would like to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to his wellbeing, including the staff of the St. Claude Medical Center, and the Notre Dame de Lourdes Hospital for the exceptional care he received.

In accordance with his request, Craig has been cremated. Following COVID-19 restrictions, a private service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Green Acres Funeral Home & Cemetery. You may pay tribute and join us virtually by clicking the “Join Livestream” link under the Services tab.

Craig, your last haul is your lightest, as you are transporting pieces of our broken hearts. We love you and missing you right now is painful, but in time, the pain will slowly ease into happy memories.

I am so sorry for your loss. I got the pleasure to know Craig when he lived in ND. I was praying he’d get past this and get back in his truck. 🙏❤️

Too soon, too young, I have a hole in my heart where you used to be. I miss afternoons in your kitchen with your Dad drinking lots of coffee and sharing stories, sometimes it would be Sharon and I enjoying the coffee and talk. How you used to come to me if you had a problem or needed some advice, I never thought of you as my stepson but as my son. I loved you the same as I loved my own children and that included Curtis and Valerie. I was your "step" mother since the first day I married your father until the day you left us.. Safe journey Sweet Boy RIP

My heart is truly broken. One of the good guys are gone. My memories of the time I spent on the road with Craig will stay with me forever. Had my very first apartment with Craig and later on his home on valley view was a meeting place for us all. The fun we had with Craig and Curtis at Big Whiteshell will be memories I will cherish forever. A true friend in every sense of the word and I feel truly blessed to have called him my friend. Godspeed buddy, save me a rum in heaven we will see each other again. Love you
