Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Manuel and Emma (England) Correia he was a lifelong area resident and a communicant of the former St. James Church.
Mr. Correia served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He later worked as a loom mechanic at Dartmouth Finishing.
In his spare time, he enjoyed target shooting, fishing, and he loved cats.
He is survived by siblings, Priscilla Alexander, Elsie Delacey, Florence Laferreiera, and Donald Correia; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Lawrence, James, and Raymond Correia.
