NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Beverly Helen Koralishn, age 78, at 1:00 pm Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Rev. David Jeffreys officiating. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday at Evangeline Funeral Home.
A native of Springfield, Massachusetts and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Koralishn passed away at 5:15 am on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at River Oaks Nursing Home after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.
Mrs. Koralishn was employed as a sales associate with Sears for numerous years. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and crossword puzzles.
She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Katherine K. Mach and husband Lanny of New Iberia; one son, Michael Shawn Koralishn of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Christopher J. Mach and Donald Adam Mach of Lafayette and five great grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, Shawn, James and Julie Mach; her dear and lifelong friends Mae and Reggie Lamberth and a host of nieces and nephews that she held dear and loved deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Thomas Driscoll and Elsie Shoemaker Jones; one brother, Joe Driscoll and five sisters; Judy Dunn, Elsie Oldegis, Patsy Driscoll, Mary Driscoll and Nancy Butman.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the entire staff of River Oaks Retirement Manor, especially Priscilla, Bridget, Ms. Sandra, JoAnn, Tess, Brittany, Shaina, Hilda, April & Alexias; Dr. Glenn Mire and his staff; and Heart of Hospice and especially Giovani for their amazing care of Mrs. Beverly.
