William Patrick Pendergast

William Patrick Pendergast the son of the late John F (Catherine Parrott)Pendergast died on April 2, 2019 in North Fort Myers Florida. William was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts in 1937. He served honorably in the United States Army as a Pfc. When he returned home from the Army after being stationed in Germany he attended and graduated from New Bedford Institute of Technology which later became the Southeastern Massachusetts Technological Institute.

After college William worked for 30 years as a pharmaceutical salesman for Bristol Laboratories. During that time he was recognized for his outstanding salesmanship and twice received then”Bristol’s Best” award. Once William retired from Bristol Laboratories he and his wife Gail headed south to Florida where he worked for the US Post Office as a mail handler until he once again retired. William and Gail then traveled the United States in their motor home enjoying the open road and making new friends until they settled back down in Florida.

William is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Gail(Collins) and his two children Michael(Nadine)Pendergast, and Erin Stucky. He is survived by his brother’s John(Carole) Pendergast, and James (Judy)Pendergast, his sisters Mary(Tom)Muldoon, and Janet(Frank)Kantor. William has 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by two sons Timothy Pendergast and Thomas Pendergast, his brother Robert Pendergast, and his sisters Phyllis Boucher, Jean Quigley, and Catherine Guliano, and his grandson Kyle Pendergast.

Arrangements have been entrusted to National Cremation & Burial Society.
