She was born in Eindhoven, The Netherlands and moved with her family to Canada as a teenager. She loved to ski and horseback ride as a young adult. She had a few book keeping jobs before entering the Convent in Victoria. She was transferred to Vancouver and worked at Little Flower Academy in Shaughnessy. She completed her BA in Sociology from UBC and went to work at Canada Employment. She left the convent and stayed in Vancouver. She moved to Brent Gardens in Burnaby and was most proud of her work on the Strata. She had great attention to detail.
Theresia retired and enjoyed short trips with her dear friend Ruthie. She had such a joy for life and appreciated the outdoors and nature. Some of favourite things in life were animals, opera, chocolate, Timmies (especially the one close to her home) and she had a great thirst for knowledge. My memories of her as a child were were that she was always full of mischief and fun. She rode a motorcycle and I thought was was cool. I will miss her humour, intelligence, and appreciation of the important things in life - joy, love, helping others and being true to yourself. “She will be deeply missed by family, friends and neighbors”.
