Arla Jean Kyees went home to the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 16, 2018. Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother was known to everyone as Jean. She was called home to heaven at the age of 84.
Born Arla Jean Hobbs on January 8, 1934 to Eddie and Alice Hobbs in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Jean united in marriage to Louis (Pat) Kyees on January 15, 1953 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Pat and Jean moved to Odessa in 1956. She was a devout believer in Jesus Christ and a member of Vine Baptist church for many years. She will be long remembered as a friendly person who never met a stranger. Even though she never had many worldly possessions, she was always willing to help those who were in need. The greatest gift she gave to others including her own children was her faith in Jesus.
Jean was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years. Pat has been waiting in Heaven for Jean since June 8, 1994.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie and her husband Rick Wadle of Spring Texas; son, Roy and his wife Teresa Kyees of Hamilton Texas; granddaughter, Sara and her husband Darin Cross of Spring Texas; grandson, Paul Wadle of Houston Texas; and great grandson, Elijah Cross of Spring Texas.
Visitation with the family will be Friday, October 19, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hubbard Kelly Funeral Home located at 601 North Alleghaney. Graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.
