Henn Kukrus, age 84 of Heuvelton passed away early morning on Saturday, August 10, 2019, at the Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh after being stricken.
There will be a gathering for family and friends held at the Corner Stone Wesleyan Church in Heuvelton on Monday (August 12th) from 6:30 - 8:00pm.
Surviving is his wife Hannelore of Heuvelton, two daughters Barbara (Arthur) Knauf of Heuvelton and Danielle (Victor) Barzykin of Florida and Maryland three grandchildren Zachary Barzykin and Mason & Hayden Knauf.
Henn was born on July 3, 1935, in Estonia Northern Europe, a son of the late August & Alina (Muhlberg) Kukrus. He graduated from Cooley High School in Michigan and continued his education at Bowling Green State University where he earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in 1961. He married Hannelore E. Wippern on January 13, 1969. He later returned to school and received an MBA Degree from the University of Denver in 1978.
During his career he was employed as a chemist with Nalco Chemical Company in Chicago IL, Arapahoe Chemicals in Boulder, Colorado, IBM in Poughkeepsie, New York, and later with Unimin in Spruce Pine, North Carolina until his retirement in 1998. Henn enjoyed watching football (Go Redskins!), golf and game shows on TV. He also enjoyed going to the casino and spending time with his family.
