Joann B. Harbison

Joann Brenton Harbison was born March 12, 1935 in Palisade, Colorado. She graduated from the University of Denver with a degree in Theatre and Speech. She was married to Joseph L. Harbison for 62 years, until his death in February of this year. Joann taught Speech, Drama, and World History at Tidehaven High School in Markham, Texas; she was active in the Midland Community Theatre in Midland, Texas, and taught sewing classes in Houston. Recently, she was active in the Meals on Wheels program at Westminster Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her brother Robert Brenton of Virginia Beach, VA., son Burt, daughter-in-law Diane Russell Harbison, and grandson Thomas Harbison.
