Virginia Lee Wright

Virginia Lee Wright of Midwest City passed away April 15, 2011 with her family by her side. Virginia was born on December 18, 1918 in East Prarie, MO to Carrie and Hubbard Jones. Virginia married Robert P. Wright on October 16, 1945 in Tulsa, OK and was his faithful and loving wife until his death in 2005.

They are survived by three children, Debbie McGuire and husband Lonnie of Midwest City, Patty Barker and husband Steve of Midwest City, Terry Wright and wife Janice of Henderson, NV; four grandchildren, Todd McGuire and wife Lisa of Mabank, TX, Teri Carrier and husband Cam of Edmond, Tanner McGuire of Midwest City, Shawna Walker and husband Neville of Henderson, NV; great-grandchildren, Mason and Kendall Carrier and Jalen Walker.

Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, that had an amazing heart and compassion for others. Our mother enjoyed cooking, sports and was an especially avid Oklahoma State fan. We will go forward thankful for her and the knowledge that we gained having loved and been loved by her.

Visitation for friends and family will be held at the Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd St., OKC on Monday, April 18, 2011 from 5:00 – 7:00. A funeral service will be at Douglas Blvd. United Methodist Church in Midwest City at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. Virginia will be laid to rest at Fleetwood Cemetery, Hanson, OK.
