John Edward Reinzo Sr.

John loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter and fisherman and a Master Maine Guide. He enjoyed the many hunting trips he shared with his family. An entrepreneur with a vision, John was involved in many business ventures over the years. He enjoyed reading and playing solitaire and was fond of his cigars. He was most proud of his family, foremost, and his Sunset Farm. John enjoyed time at Shin Pond, Patten area and North Conway, NH and especially time spent at Camp Serenity. He always looked forward to the “boys from New Jersey” coming up every fall. John was a member of the Maine Tree Farmers Association, SAM, NRA, and Maine Guides Association. Many of the world’s problems could have been solved if they only listened to the coffee conversations between John and Bob Pollard, Kevin Geroux, and Daniel Davis.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years Joan (Manuel) Reinzo; six children John Reinzo Jr. and his wife Ann, Joanne Leavitt and her husband Frank, Jacqueline Reinzo, Joseph Reinzo and his wife Melissa, Jeanette Reinzo-Yanush and her husband Chuck and James Reinzo and his wife Misty; 15 grandchildren Katie and Gary Thibeault, Jenny and Mike Cosenza, Andrew and Sarah Reinzo, Samone Crouch, Jenna and Brock Levasseur, Raven Reinzo and Nate, John Reinzo, Joseph Reinzo, Sophia Reinzo, Tiffany Yanush, CJ Yanush, Dominique Reinzo, JP Reinzo, Julia Reinzo, and Maggie Reinzo; 7 great grandchildren; sister Burnette Donato; nephews Mike and Jeff and niece Burnette; and his canine companions Wishbone, Tootsie, Daisy and Sable.

John was predeceased by his father John Reinzo, mother and step-father Rose Reinzo Pascucelli and Palmer Pascucelli; brother Chris “Chick” Ruggerio.

A celebration of life gathering will be held 5-8PM Sunday January 5, 2020 at the Birmingham Funeral Home 438 Main St Old Town where a funeral service will be conducted 10AM Monday. A luncheon will be held at the Holy Family Parish Center following the service. Private interment will be at the Reinzo Family Burying ground.
