Rajkumarie Ganga “Queen”, 76, of Memphis, TN passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021. Mrs. Ganga was preceded in death by her parents, Nanan and Popo Sankar; and siblings: Deochan Sankar, Roysie Sankar, Robert Sankar, Issac Sankar, and Rookmin Poochoon. She is survived by her husband, Baboolal Ganga; children: Judy Ganga, Ronny R. Ganga, and Julie “Joy” Ganga; son-in-law, Michael Coats; grandson, Jaden Z. Ganga; siblings: Boysie Sankar, Krishna Sankar, and Balraj Sankar; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ganga was born on June 17, 1944 in Princes Town, Trinidad. Leaving Trinidad and coming to the United States to make a life for her and her family was one of the hardest, but proudest accomplishments in her life. She believed nothing was impossible if you set your mind to it. She worked as a monitor tech at St. Francis Hospital. In her free time she enjoyed cooking for her family and gardening. Her favorite thing to do was take care of and spend time with her family and friends, especially her grandson, Jaden. She also enjoyed Bollywood music. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation Friday, June 11, 2021 from 5-7 pm. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:00 am. Both visitation and funeral will be held at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, MS.
