She leaves behind a loving husband of 52 years, a son and daughter, and 3 grandchildren.
Gladys and her young family emigrated from Cuba in 1972 and eventually settled in the United States where they became citizens.
She was a determined person and a hard worker and achieved her Bachelor of Science degree in 6 1/2 years of evening classes, while raising a family and working full time for Bell Atlantic in New Jersey.
In 1989, the family moved to Orlando, Florida and Gladys became a successful timeshare salesperson, holding the top sales position for many years, and ascended to manager for the same company until she retired.
She enjoyed working to enrich people’s lives via vacations as she had enjoyed with her own family.
Even into retirement, she would obtain her greatest happiness alongside her family and enjoyed every small detail that cumulated in a life well lived.
She was brave, smart, funny, loving and kind. She will be missed.
