
A longtime resident of Leominster after marrying his beloved wife, Lorena, Albert enjoyed a lasting and fruitful marriage of 64 years. They also resided in Westminster, MA from 1986 to 2010, and had a "snowbird" home in Ft. Pierce, FL. where he spent his final. He was predeceased by his wife, Lorena, in 2015; his son, Lawrence; his daughter in law Sabrina (Ken) and their son, Christian; and his favorite son in law, Jac (John) Augat (Carol). He will be deeply missed by his partner and dear friend of seven years, Barbara Wright of Fort Pierce, FL.
Albert is survived by his brother, Armand, and his children: sons Alan, Jamie (Donna), Ken, John and daughter Carol. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his grandchildren: Cody, Ryan, Nicole, Aimee Stark, Zachary (Jessica), Matthew, Alan Deal Gilpatric, Joseph Beasley (Joslyn), Katherine Omsley (Ted), Christian, Joseph R., Justin (Erica), and Trisha. His great grandchildren-Faith, Logan, Whitney, Ayla, Zinnia, and Calvin-also carry on his memory.
A proud patriot and veteran of the Korean War, Albert was honored with an escorted Honor Flight and commendation to Washington, D. C. His unwavering faith in god and country defined him, as did his lifelong membership in the Knights of Columbus and American Legion Post 429. After raising his family in Leominster, Albert moved to Florida in the late 1990's, seeking warmer weather and the opportunity to golf-a passion he he pursued avidly until age 95. An active member of the Spanish Lakes Community in Fort Pierce,FL, he enjoyed pool, poker nights, cribbage, casino trips and cruises. His life was a vibrant adventure, from square dancing in the 1960s and bowling leagues at Mason's in the 1970s to fishing in Canada and summer camping trips to Lake Winnipesaukee. After retiring, he traveled with his wife numerous times in his motor home, visiting family and friends. Following his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army in 1952, Albert served as a longtime civilian employee of the U.S. Government. He worked as an electronic technician on the Nike Hercules Missile Program, collaborating with Werner Von Braun in 1960, 1963 and 1965, and relocated his family to Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville. Later seeking a change from long hours, he became a partner in A&G Rental Company (later A&G Taylor Rental), helping grown the business to multiple locations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Florida.
A graveside service and interment will be held on Friday, May 16th, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Cecilia's Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow, with details to be announced at the service.
