Edgardo Monte Alegre Nacion

Edgardo was born on December 8, 1949 in Manila, Philippines. He was the son of the late, Leonila and Ignacio Nacion. He was the eldest of six children and was raised in a small town of Rosales, Pangasinan, Philippines. Edgardo Nacion passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the age of 71 surrounded by his family.

Edgardo is survived by his wife, Thelma Nacion; his three children, Cromwell Nacion (Jennifer Nacion), Diana Nacion Funiestas (Froilan Funiestas), and Darwin Nacion; his grandchildren, John Nacion, Makayla Nacion Caliboso, and Bryce Funiestas.

Edgardo was educated in Rosales National High School in the Philippines. In his high school years, he was athletic and loved playing basketball, tennis, ping pong, and badminton. Later on, he proceeded his education further in Feati University in the Philippines for two years in Nautical Engineering. Edgardo worked for ten years at Dubai Aluminum Company in United Arab Emirates from 1981 to 1991 to provide a better life for his family. Afterwards, Edgardo immigrated to the U.S. in 1991 with his family and have lived in Oxnard for almost 30 years and worked many years at Data Exchange Corp.

Edgardo married his high school sweetheart, Thelma Canonizado Nacion, in 1970 and three children were born into this union. Edgardo and Thelma Nacion have been married for 51 years. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. Edgardo spend a lot of his time taking care of his garden and played around with his dog, Mickey. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren by going fishing at the pier, car rides to get their favorite foods, teaching them how to cook, and calling his grandson who lived in Virginia.

Edgardo was a very warm- hearted and caring person who has always put his family before himself.

Edgardo will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service mass is scheduled for 12:00 pm on Tuesday March 9,2021 at St. Anthony Catholic Church 2511 S. C Street Oxnard, CA. Edgardo will he be laid to rest at Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery in Oxnard, CA.
