Alfredo S Evangelista Jr.

Alfredo was born September 23, 1934 in San Pablo City, Laguna, Philippines to the late Alfredo Yu Evangelista and Gertrudes Sahagun.

After marrying the love of his life, Merlita, they migrated to the United States where Merlita practiced at Fairview Hospital for over 30 years.

Alfredo had a genuine love for people and making friends. This was evident at the Pulmonary Rehab Center on Wooster Road, where Alfredo looked forward to spending time with the staff and attendees.

Alfredo had a passion for music, especially playing the piano and singing. He also loved cooking, eating and traveling, but none compared to the love he had for his family.

He is predeceased by his son Jerone Borja Evangelista and his sisters, Natividad S. Evangelista and Gertrudis Evangelista-Tomas Ed. D. (Ceferino).

Surviving to cherish his memory are his devoted wife Merlita and son Geordie Borja Evangelista (Sintha). Alfredo is survived by his sister Lavinia E. Bruan, M.D.(Henry), his brothers, Florizel S. Evangelista, M.D.(Pura), Rosilon S. Evangelista, O.D. (Nympha) and Engr. Romel S. Evangelista (Dolores). He is also the proud uncle to many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 7th, 2020 at 1:00 pm at St. Angela Merici Church, 20970 Lorain Road, Fairview Park, Ohio 44126.
