Lawanda Almedia Cook, 84, of Purvis, Mississippi passed away on April 9, 2019.

Lawanda was born on November 26, 1934 to Joseph Dewey Crain and Bessie Elleen Shack Crain. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Cook; parents, Joseph and Bessie Crain; siblings, Joe De Crain, Mildred Brinson, John Earl Crain, and Benny Crain. She is survived by her son, Darren Cook (Shirley); siblings, Bessie Merle Floyd, Janice Snell, and James Lee Crain; as well as 4 grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs. Lawanda will be held on Monday, April 15, 2019 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl, followed by a graveside service at 12:30 pm at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.
