He is survived by his four children: Michael G. McLoud, NC; Jean McLoud Johnson, NC; Timothy L. McLoud, NY; and Kelly M. McLoud, NC. He had 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. His wife of 69 years, Mildred Hyatt McLoud, passed away in 2016 and his son Patrick S. McLoud, SC passed away in 2009.
Donald proudly served in the Navy, Arm Guard for World War 2 and Korea. He graduated from Palmer College, Charleston, SC in 1969. Retired from the Department of Defense Police in Charleston, SC.
He was loved and will be missed.
Friends and family may call from 2 pm to 4 pm on Sunday, September 30th, 2018 at Townsend Wood Funeral Chapel, 201 E. Elm St., Penn Yan, NY 14527. A graveside service will be held at 11am on Monday, October 1st, 2018 at Italy Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated for Boys Town, 200 Flanagan Blvd, PO Box 6000, Boys Town, NE 68010-9988.
