Jimmie Edward Belongia, 82, was born June 20, 1937, in Hillsboro, Oregon to the late Phillip Earl and Mary Elizabeth Santee Belongia. He was called from this Heavenly earth March 5, 2020 at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Florida.
Jimmie was a member of Northview Baptist Church here in Pensacola where he enjoyed worshiping his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He served this grateful nation with eighteen years of dedicated services in the United States Navy. Jimmie would enjoy fishing, tinkering with small engines, trips to Dairy Queen and target. He loved spending time with his friends and family. Jimmie would spend all of his dedicated time to his wife Joan Ann Wittbecker Belongia. There isn't anything Jimmie did without thinking of her and putting her first.
Jimmie is preceded in death by his parents, one brother Leonard Belongia and one sister Phyllis Belongia Prise.
Left to cherish Jimmie's wonderful memories will be his beloved wife; many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Memorials may be made in honor of Jimmie Edward Belongia to Hope for the Warriors or organization of donors choice.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Baptist Hospital staff, nieces Toni Gablow and Tammy Perez for the care, compassion and love provided to Jimmie.
Celebration of Life services for Jimmie Edward Belongia will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 10, 2020 in the chapel of Eastern Gate Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Eastern Gate Memorial Gardens, Pensacola, Florida.
The family will be receiving guests for visitation Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at Eastern Gate Funeral Home.
