

William D. MacMillen was Born September 4, 1943, in Monneson, Pennsylvania, and passed away in Pensacola, Florida on Saturday, July 27,2024. Bill was preceded in death, by his Father Albert Wargo, Mother Ruth McMillen Miller, his Grandfather William D McMillen SR and, Grandmother Mary McMillen Smith. He is survived by his wife Adrienne "Darleen" MacMillen, Daughters Jackie, Kathleen, Michele and, sons Richard, and William Jr. He has 9 Grandchildren, Kevin, Kimberly, Evette, Marcel, Daniel, Sarah, Janine, Yvette and Angel, and 6 Great Grandchildren.
Bill had a successful Military Career, retiring in April 1988 as a SFC E-7. He served two tours in Vietnam and received many awards including the Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He was proud of his educational accomplishment: after he retired he went to Baldwin Wallace College and received a BA Degree in Business Management with a major in Accounting in 3 years. Upon completion of College he was hired by the Defense Finance Accounting Service (DFAS) and retired from DFAS in Pensacola as a GS-12 in September 2002.
His Passion for sports included watching the Cleveland Browns NFL team, and NCAA football teams Notre Dame and Ohio State. Bill even loved watching Golf on TV. After retiring he enjoyed being on the golf course, and part of Par Four Golf Club. Bill loved going to Biloxi where most times he won money, and Darleen would lose that money. He will be truly missed by his family and friends, and they ask in lieu of flowers that you please make a donation to the American Heart Association or Par Four Golf Club Charity.
There will be a graveside service at Barrancas National Cemetery on Thursday August 1st, 2024 at 11:00 am. Family and friends that would like to attend the service are invited to meet at Olive Baptist Church – Warrington Campus 103 W Winthrop Ave, Pensacola, FL 32507 at 10:15 am to go in procession to Barrancas National Cemetery.
