My name is Brighton Apostolo, Brady is my dad Brennan's brother. He and my dad were not only close brothers but the best of friends. One memory I have of Brady from when I was very little was when he came over for the holidays. He always had the best jokes and we loved climbing all over him, like the rest of his family he was very tall, but despite this, he always came off as extremely loving, kind, and humorous. One time when I was about 3-4 years old he jokingly shook salt and pepper on my belly and said he was going to eat it, then proceeded to tickle me until I couldn't breathe. He has always been and always will be one of my favorite Uncles and friends.

I have known Brady for the past 10 yrs a scared newby in the cardiac world of ultrasound.   My first encounter was about 8 years ago when he brought his product to our office.  Like I said I was terrified newly graduated from ultrasound school just trying to get my humble lunch of leftovers I packed,  so as I tried to slink past Brady he bellows out "hey is my food not good enough for you? Mortified I immediately shuddered and stammered for the right words he was tall and a bit intimidating I might add.  I replied isnt this food just for the doctors I asked...with his big sweet but still intimidating eyes he says you are all the same to me, dig in...Brady you are missed, your radiant personality your capability of turning a bad day into a good one, thank.you for being a human I can look up to, thank you for being a good human!! 

Brady had been a long time customer at my place of work. For the past three years he would walk in, his face lit with joy. He was always laughing, making jokes, and he would speak to my coworkers and I as if he had known us for a lifetime. It was a pleasure to help him. I was deeply saddened to hear about his passing, but I was honored to help him print something one last time.
My thoughts, prayers, and condolences go out to the friends and family of Brady. 

1997  Life changing year... my young family 3 sons, and a little sister as we all called her.  It was Elder Apostolo, and Elder Palmer rapping on my front door for the teaching of the lessons of the church of Jesus Christ and latter day saints.  My young family  was all converted that year.  It was 22 years ago I don't remember all the details but I never forgot the spirit Brady brought into our home.  The spirit was so strong the new testimony was built, and I've never doubted this church,  was the only true church I know this till this day 22 years later.  We are so grateful for your courage and decision to serve our father in heaven and your persistence to share the church with us.  I'm please to say we are active member  we teach the valiant 10 as well work with the Cub scouts.  We never got to share this with you, but just in case you pop your head through the Vail and read this your good work with us has blessed those in our family who have not had the opportunity to learn the gospel here on Earth.  We have been able to bless those generation back with doing there temple work.  you touched all there lives with your mission.   We are sealed for time and all eternity.   I can only imagine the long line of those waiting at the Vail  who have been blessed by your mission. Waiting to embrace you with love and gratitude.  God bless you Brady we love you and miss you.   


On the lighter note if you think this cancelled our rematch of tackle basketball well we will discuss this someday on the other side.

When Brady was a teenager, he and his brother Brennan were in the early-morning Seminary class I taught each school day.  The classes were held in our home and Brady became a regular fixture in our house even outside of Seminary.  I thoroughly enjoyed teaching those young people, and Brady stood out as a natural-born leader among his peers. He nicknamed for me was “Sister J.”

During his junior year in High School one of the Seminary students kicked in our screen door.  No one would fess up to doing it.  It became something of a continuing joke among the students.  They would sometimes ask out loud in class “who kicked in the door” and would then laugh, but no one admitted to it.  Sometimes Brady was late for class and sometimes he would just skip class altogether.  But he would show up and participate.

In his senior year of High School, things changed for Brady.  He became the Seminary Class President.   There was a total positive change in him beginning with that year.  He became more dedicated and studied the lesson material.  There was this spark or light in him that was obvious to all who knew him.  He was different, but in a very good way.

Brady made people around him laugh and feel comfortable.  He grew close to our family and we to him.  I would get occasional phones call from him letting me know how he was doing.  On one of those occasions Brady told me that he was the one who kicked in the screen door.  We both laughed because I always knew he was the one who did it.

One year he called me to let me know that he was the new Seminary teacher in his Ward, and that he loved it.  He was connecting with the youth and he was remembering his time as a seminary student.  I always enjoyed his calls.  

His family did a great job of raising such a wonderful young man.  My family and I are truly grateful for having got to know him, be a small part of his life, and to consider him a friend.  Our family will miss him.

I don’t know how to properly express how I feel about you leaving this world. You’re my Brady! I told you I will always love you, and I will. You were one of the dearest people in this world to me, and captured a place in my heart forever. I am beyond honored to have shared part of this life with you. You’re hugs were the absolute best. I’ll never forget the day you were unexpectedly sitting in my personal office-I was so shocked when I walked in! It was an amazing surprise! My day wasn’t going well, I don’t remember why. I do remember I immediately asked you for a hug, and felt so much better being there in your arms. I love how when we hugged you never really wanted to let go! I hate that I’m the one who has to now let go. May you be at peace with our Heavenly Father. Until we meet again my sweet Brady! ❤️

Brady always brightened the day with his smile and rodney dangerfield reenactments. He always knew what to do to make you laugh and smile. He will be forever missed. Prayers and thoughts to his family. Families are forever
