

Clarence, known as Charlie to most, was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on February 21, 1935 to Hazel Clark Brown and Clarence Radford Brown, Sr. Charlie served in the U.S. Navy for 26 years and then moved to Texas to work for Northern Telecom until retirement. He loved being outdoors and especially enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and riding his motorcycle. He was also an active member of Creekwood United Methodist Church and served as a member of the choir. All who knew him loved his witty sense of humor that remained strong right up until his final hours.
Charlie will be forever remembered by his wife, Elaine, his children Eddie (Lori), Debbie (Matt), and Kevin (Tina), his stepchildren Mike (Meghan), Patty (Tom), and Shelly (David), his sister Brenda (CQ), his brother Clark (Barry), and eleven grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at Creekwood United Methodist Church on Sunday, April 22, at 3:00. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Wounded Warrior Project.
