James "Jim" Drexel McKenzie Jr.

James (Jim) was born January 8, 1956 in Port Allegany, Pennsylvania to Donna Jean (Shaffer) and James Drexel McKenzie Sr. James (Jim) passed away January 28, 2020 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Flower Mound, Texas of natural causes. He was preceded in death by his parents Jim Sr. and Donna. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Shana Jan Bartley Sanchez McKenzie; his three daughters: Staci Renea Hilliard of Pueblo, Colorado, Amy Rachelle Hampton of Lewisville, Texas and Landon Louise Langer of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sons, Scott Aaron McKenzie of Lewisville, Texas and James Robert Langer of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Jim was a very proud grandpa to seven granddaughters: Erica, Kristen and Skyler Hilliard of Pueblo, Colorado, Autumn Reid and Ember Sawyer of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Presley Joan McKenzie and Giovanna Parker Handle McKenzie of Denton County; grandsons: Hunter Dee Hampton of Port Aransas, Texas, Bentley Drexel McKenzie of Denton County and James Jason Campbell of Lewisville, Texas, Daymon and Joaquine Reid of Colorado Springs, Colorado; great grandpa of Shana Rhea Anne Hilliard and Kingsten Josiah Horace of Pueblo, Colorado, and Aurora Marie Louise Cooper of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two brothers Gary McKenzie and wife Barb of Mineral City, Ohio, Danny McKenzie and wife Denise of New Cumberland, Ohio, and one sister Shelly Turner and her husband Henry of Canton, Ohio; also numerous nephews and nieces.

Jim served in the U.S. Air Force when he graduated from Sandy Valley High School in Ohio. He was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan since he was a young kid and he loved dirt track racing and watching his son pro wrestle. He loved spending time and money with his grandkids. The kids and grandkids always knew he would be there if they needed him. His favorite holiday was Christmas because he loved to watch the kids open their presents and see their faces light up. He was all about family. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
