Rose Marie Peterson

It is with great sorrow that we acknowledge the passing of Rose Marie (Kelly) Peterson on March 19, 2020. Rose Marie was born in Cumberland, Maryland, in 1920. She was 99 years old. She lived the last 10 years of her life in Pembroke Pines and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Rose Marie was the loving wife of the late Leo Paul Peterson. She was Valedictorian of her Senior Class, and a West Virginia Tomato Queen. She raised her family in the area of Norristown, Pennsylvania and was a former Supervisor at Bell Telephone/Bell Atlantic in the Accounting Department in Conshohocken, PA.

She was the loving mother of the late Robert Peterson and the late Michael Peterson. She is survived by son David Peterson of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and daughter Rosalie (Sis Peterson) Abate of Langhorne, PA.

She is also survived by six grandchildren; Bill Abate of Langhorne, PA., Todd Peterson of West Chester, PA., Brian Peterson of Oxford, PA., Michael Peterson of San Antonio, TX., Rob Peterson of Plantation, FL., and Lia (Peterson) Sweeney of Boca Raton, FL. Ten great grandchildren; Margo Quigley, Sophie Sweeney, Skyler Peterson, Riley Peterson, Alyssa Peterson, Casey Peterson, Michael Peterson, Natalie Peterson, Caitlyn Abate, and Hannah Nordberg. She is also survived by two great-great grandchildren; Ethan and Wyatt Quigley.

She was the Matriarch of the family and cherished and loved by everyone, who affectionately referred to her as "Nana".
