Edna went from a stay-at-home mom to find work to provide for the five children still at home. She was very proud that she could stretch a dollar to care for her children.
Edna left school in Grade 6 to help on the farm after her mother had health problems. When asked how much schooling she had her answer was enough.
Growing up Edna enjoyed playing softball, curling and bowling.
After her children were grown Edna created some fond memories with two trips to the briers with her sisters; went to Graceland and started a collection of Elvis memorabilia; a trip to Hawaii and Reno. Her biggest regret was never getting her driver's license.
A private family graveside service will be held on Friday, March 22 and a Celebration of Life for friends and family at the Italian Hall at 1 pm.
Your life is a blessing,
Your memory a treasure.
You are loved beyond words,
And missed beyond measure.
