William Franklin Whittington, 65 of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on Monday September 19, 2011 at Peace River Regional Medical Hospital. He was better known as Bill or “Coach”. Born in Macon, Georgia on August 17, 1946 and moved to Port Charlotte in 1980. Bill was self employed as the old fashion neighborhood milk man with the family business “Family Dairy”. Bill had many hobbies such as fishing, restoring old Mustangs, and car shows. Most importantly he loved his multiple years in Babe Ruth, coaching baseball.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; two children, B.J. and Jessie; two sisters, Josephine Burnett and Julie Worsham; brother, Sandy Whittington and many nieces and nephews.
A service will take place to Restlawn Memorial Gardens located on Forrest Nelson Boulevard in Port Charlotte on Friday September 30, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.
