Trixie Kathleen Bartlett

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our sweet mother Trixie Bartlett on July 2, 2024. Mom lived a full and wonderful life and truly blessed everyone she met over the past 94 years.

Although her years were many she will be forever missed by the legacy she leaves behind. She is survived by her children Terri and Bryan Ortwein, Larry and Natalie Bartlett, Lynette and Roger Mikalishen, Danette and Rolf Thomsen, her 18 grandchildren and their loved spouses, 24 great-grandchildren (adding baby Deol in September), 2 great-great grandchildren Gracie and Nash, her sister Alinda, many nieces and nephews, her treasured friend Bettie; all of whom she loved.

We have no doubt that Mom was greeted in Heaven with hugs from Jesus, our father Pem, our sister Valerie Plourde and great-grandson Zac Hart.

In honor of our dear Mother, we will be having a Celebration of Life at First Memorial Lakewood Chapel, 1055 Ospika Blvd., on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. Friends are welcome.

We will also be having a family graveside service in Princeton on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. Mom’s body will be laid to rest beside our beloved Dad (insert a heart).

Thank you to everyone who has cared so kindly for our dear Mother; home care nursing, IPT #4, SO many units at UHNBC and especially the incredible staff at Laurier Manor. You made the last 2.5 years of Mom’s life the best that it could be and for that we are truly grateful. Dr. McCoy, Tamber, Leslie and all the care staff – you were truly loved.
