Olga was born in Buffalo, New York on May 13, 1929 to parents Carl and Olga (Grzenkowski) Zimmermann. Olga enjoyed being a caregiver and daycare provider in her Mantua Home for over 15 years, caring for at least 30 kids and known by many as “Grams”. She had been a member of the Hilltop Christian Church in Mantua since 1970 and enjoyed her role as finance secretary for over 20 years. As a devoted Christian, she was the hostess of a Bible study for 20 years and also hostess for the Bethany Church Group for as many years. Olga also had enjoyed her many years involved with the 4 C’s food pantry. She loved lighthouses and collected many over the years and her favorite color was Purple. Her love of lighthouses took her to Maine for two family vacations in recent years, providing her with cherished memories. Olga loved being outdoors, and enjoyed sitting in a comfy chair overlooking the Cuyahoga River that abuts her son’s property. Most of all Olga was a kind, loving woman who was the embodiment of a Christian life and enjoyed playing cards with her beloved children and grandchildren.
Surviving Olga are her children: Karen (Mark) Heisler, Diane (Joe) Ramos, Timothy Sluka, Janette (Gary) Ghann and David (Beth) Sluka. Olga also leaves her beloved 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and her brother Charles (Pat) Zimmerman(n).
Olga was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard and her sisters Carol Malee and infant sister Doris Zimmermann.
Per her wishes cremation has been honored and a Celebration of her life will be held on May 15, 2021 at her/ her son’s residence along the Cuyahoga River that she so loved.
