It is with heavy hearts that the family of Harvey Wallman announce his passing in Regina, SK on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at the age of 96 years. Harvey will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Leah Rousseau (Doug Buchner) and Reni Munro; grandchildren Lisa Munro, Tara Munro, Jessica Wallman, Sarah Rousseau (Jaymon Santer) and Lindsay Dunbar (Myles Dunbar); great grandchildren Haley and Sean Ceulemans, Isiah Edmondson and Cameron Whitaker, Hadlee and Huxley Dunbar, who he enjoyed spending time with and loved very much. He will be remembered as a great father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be dearly missed. We were so lucky to have him in our lives for so long. Harvey was born in Kelvington, SK on September 2, 1924. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Walters and nine siblings. He served overseas in WWII and was very proud of being a veteran and displaying his metals. Harvey worked at Sask Power and Wascana Park, retiring at 65. He then became a fitness enthusiast and loved working out and showing off his muscles, he was also an avid walker and could be seen walking around town daily. He credits his longevity to his dedication to fitness which kept him feeling and looking great - just ask him!!! He also took pride in keeping his trees and hedges perfectly manicured which included making a homemade 18 foot set of clippers to reach the high branches. He was a handyman and was always ready and willing to lend a helping hand. Harvey had numerous traits he will be remembered for, including being funny, kind and caring with a great sense of humor and a big heart to match. One of dad's favorite things was sitting in the sun on his dilapidated old lawn chair wearing one of his many hats on his head. It is a sight that all his neighbors and passer-byers will surely miss. We'd like to thank all the wonderful doctors and nurses at the Pasqua Hospital and William Booth Hospice for the excellent care he received with his short battle with cancer. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered by his family and friends. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
