It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Hilda at the age of 98 years. Hilda was born in Castor, Alberta to parents George & Rose. She was the fifth eldest of thirteen children and is survived by three sisters. Hilda was predeceased by her husband Arnold in 1960. She is survived by her children Iris (Bernard), Ryan (Marie), Patricia (John), and Joann (Don); ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; plus many nieces and nephews. Mom enjoyed needlepoint and pottery until her sight diminished. We would like to give a special thank you to Trudy Lane for the care and love shown to mom over the years. Thanks also to the staff in the COVID unit of Regina General Hospital for their compassionate care of mom in her last days. A celebration of life will be held for mom in Regina once we are through this pandemic.

I just heard of Hilda passing. Deepest condolences to the family. I spent many years talking to Hilda weekly , to take her grocery order. Most times she new who she was talking to , other times she would hang up on me .I would just laugh and do up her order and call her before her order went out. I haven't been working at Lakeview Fine Foods for a year now but would always ask the new owner how Hilda was doing.
Hilda always said 'luv yah ' at the end of a call,( I think she said that to everyone) puts a smile on my face as I type this. RIP Hilda
