Rosemary Edwards

Rosemary Edwards, 76, of Reno, Nevada, passed away on May 21, 2020 after a long battle with COPD. She was met in Heaven by her parents, Joseph and Violet Phillips, brother Bri, sister Marg, nephew Mark; all from England, nephew Butchie, of Reno, and granddaughter Jessica of New Jersey. She is survived by the love of her life, husband of 48 years, David, son Peter (Cheryl) Vaspory of New Jersey, daughters Dawn (Gary) Clifford, Paula (Harry) Wilson, Sally, Sarah and TerriAnne Edwards; all of Reno, brother in law, John Sampaga, also of Reno, sisters-in-law, Thelma Grisham (Bill, deceased) of Kentucky, Judy Dunn (deceased) Richard, brothers-in-law, Marvin (Pam) Edwards, Pete (Jackie) Edwards, all of Missouri, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rosemary was a loving and caring grandmother of 14 grandchildren, Scott, Craig, Jillian, Katelyn, Trais, Nikki, Garrett, Michael, Max, Hanna, Ricky, Daniel, Trevor and Jaxson as well as 10 great-grandchildren.

She was born Rosemary Phillips on November 4, 1943 in Trowbridge, England and lived there until moving to New Jersey in 1966. Her journey took her across the US, with her husband David until they eventually settled in Reno. Rosemary lived for more than 30 years in Lemmon Valley, next door to her beloved sister, Margaret (deceased).

Rosemary spent most of her career caring not only for her own children, but also worked for many years at a daycare center near her home. Rosemary loved gardening and her flowers. She enjoyed going for scenic drives. Rosemary loved animals and had numerous pets throughout her life. Most recently, she had her dogs, Buddy, Daisy, Baby and Hayley, as well as the cats she enjoyed playing with in her garden.

Rosemary was an amazing mom and wife. Even in her decline, she texted her children every morning or evening to say "hello", "have a good day", or whatever was on her mind. There is no one else like her. Mom will be unbelievably missed. Although our hearts were not ready to say goodbye, we take comfort knowing she is at peace.
