Delfin Ronald Naranjo (85), passed away peacefully on July 28th, 2018 at his residence, Ana’s Care Home in Sammamish WA. Born February 24th, 1933 in Seattle WA, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Marilyn (2017), his father, Delfin (1977), his mother, Regina (1999), brother, Howard (1963) and sister, Diana (2014). He leaves behind 5 children: Dana Twilley (Martin), Dan Naranjo (Cyd), Diane Naranjo, Jon Naranjo (Cheryl), Lisa Naranjo, 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, Darlene Naranjo (sister), nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Delfin (Buster) was a member of the International Longshoremen’s & Warehousemen’s Union (ILWU), Local Chapter #19 and retired in 1993. He often spent time with his co-workers after retirement. Winters in Arizona and summers in the Northwest became his calling. He loved music, walking, cooking, watching sports and entertaining his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many and will be truly missed. The family is extremely grateful for the compassion and care provided by Dr. Gregory John MD, Dr. Rahul Khurana MD, Manuela Paul, RN BSN, Ana Petrisor and the caregivers on his journey home. There will be a visitation at Greenwood Memorial Park, 350 Monroe Avenue N.E. Renton, WA 98056 on Saturday, August 18th between 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. with a committal service from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association Seattle, WA or to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research.
