Barbara E. Griffin

Barbara E. Griffin, age 77, of Rhinelander, died, Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah, Wisconsin. She was born October 18, 1934 to Harry and Evelyn (Kopydlawski) Barwick in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Barbara attended Girls Technical High School in Milwaukee. She married Roy Griffin on June 15, 1956 in Hales Corners, Wisconsin. Barbara was the town clerk for the town of Piehl.

Beloved wife of the late Roy John Griffin, loving mother of Tim Griffin, Jeanette Seiberlich, Amy Griffin, Dan (Michelle) Griffin, Evelyn (Anthony) Virgilio, and Della Griffin. Proud Grandmother of 16 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. Also survived by a sister; Midge (Ron) Giuli, and a brother; Harry (Karen) Barwick Jr. Barbara is further survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, her daughter, Marye, her parents and a sister, Caroline DeAngelo.

A Funeral Service for Barbara will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Hildebrand-Russ Funeral Home with Deacon Michael Harvey officiating. Visitation will be Monday morning from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Entombment will be Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at 2 PM at Forest Hill Memorial Park, Oak Creek, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Barbara may be given to the family.
