Doris Poore Parrish, 73, of Richmond, Va., passed away April 21, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, John U. Parrish. She is survived by her children, Donald K. Parrish (Barbara), Garland E. Parrish (Margaret) and Leslie P. Pochkar (James); sister, Joyce Smith (Edgar); brothers, Kenneth Poore (Ann), Millard Poore (Carolyn); eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Doris loved the beach and her family.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 24 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., where her funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2014. Interment Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
