Jo married Paul F. Morel and they made a home together in Alhambra, California. Placing family first, Jo chose a career as a homemaker. Later she worked as an office receptionist.
Jo is survived by her daughter; Deidre Mazerov and her husband Lance, two sisters-in-law; Jeanette Crawford Blades and Betty Thornhill Blades, four grandchildren; Chuck Tate and wife Jeanne, Matt Tate and wife Chablis, Nikki Morel, and Logan Morel. Jo has eleven great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
Jo is preceded in death by her husband; Paul F. Morel, her son; Paul D. Morel, her parents; Noah Blades and Jenny Mae Dykes Blades, siblings; Earl Blades, Mildred Blades Hammons, Jewel Blades, Evelyn Blades, Darrel Blades, and infant brother.
Visitation for Jo Morel will be Thursday, May 10, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home in Ridgeland, MS with a Funeral Service following at 3:30 p.m. Entombment will be at Parkway Memorial Cemetery in Ridgeland, MS. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice.
