Sandra Nan McMath Gauntt, born to Laney M. and Nan Britton McMath on March 30, 1936 in Americus, Georgia. She was the oldest of three children. She was an alumnae of Midland High School in Midland, Texas and Austin College in Sherman, Texas.
Activities during her life included bookkeeper, exercise instructor, Cub Scout Den Mother, Navy Wives of America member and locally served on the Boards of the Tom Green County Humane Society, the San Angelo Nature Center, the Lake Board, the Planning Commission, the Fireman’s Pension Fund and served one term on the San Angelo City Council. She also donated countless hours to local Political Campaigns and candidates.
Sandra married John Christian Danner, son of Abbie and Elmer Danner in 1961 and that marriage lasted until his death in 1979. They had one son, Bryan L. Danner.
In 1987 she married Fred B. Gauntt of Christoval, Texas.
Immediate family survivors are Fred B. Gauntt, husband; Bryant L. Danner, son; Laney M. McMath, Jr., brother and wife Melinda; John R. McMath, brother; 5 nieces, 1 nephew, 4 great nieces and 1 great nephew.
Survivors in Mr. Gauntt’s family include Mike Wilson, son and wife Laura Ann; Bruce Gauntt, son; 1 grandson and 1 granddaughter.
All are invited to graveside services in Fairmount Cemetery Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.
