Barbara Jane Kidwell

Barbara Jane Kidwell, age 76, passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023, in Houston, Texas. Barbara was born in Moulton, Texas on February 11, 1947, to parents, Peggy Jane Rout and James T. Jaeggli, Jr.She attended the University of Texas at Austin where she was a member of the prestigious marching band, after which she married Edward James Kidwell and moved to Boerne, Texas. She then became active in the Catholic Church in Boerne as the Director of Religious Education. This inspired her to go back to school and earn her teaching degree from the University of the Incarnate Word, after which she began teaching in the catholic schools for the Archdiocese of San Antonio and the Archdiocese of Houston/Galveston for over 30 years. In her spare time, she was very active with the church choir in her parish as well as working with animal rescues to save as many dogs as she possibly could, especially her beloved chihuahuas. She was preceded in death by Edward Kidwell and her son, Mark Edward Kidwell. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Marcia Jane Gharib and her grandsons Eliot, Jonah, and Garet Gharib.
