Following her husband’s completion of military service and extensive civil service, they moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1981. Dorothy became the secretary of the Northern Hills Methodist Church. She remained in this position for more than twenty years, always developing contact with and respect from the church congregation. While in the church position and retirement, she began the hobby of quilt making. She completed more than thirty beautiful quilts, which were given to friends and relatives. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and especially her husband of sixty-seven years.
