Mary was a graduate of Fox Tech High School in San Antonio, Texas. She retired from Kelly Air Force Base Directorate of Maintenance on December 2, 1989, with 38 years of Federal Service. During her civil service career she proudly served the 433rd Air Wing which provided managerial, administrative and operational requirements necessary to operate 14 PAA strategic airlift aircraft to ensure wartime readiness to countless reservists. After her retirement from Civil Service she continued employment and then retired with Jenkins and Associates.
Mary enjoyed playing bingo, working on crossword puzzles, playing solitaire with a deck of cards. Mary’s favorite sports teams were the Green Bay Packers and the San Antonio Spurs. She also enjoyed activities like Zumba for Seniors and creating Art.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Alfredo and Maria Del Rufugio Lozano, her children Geraldine Bodah Hernandez, William Bodah and Steven Bodah, her siblings, Consuelo Sandoval, Virginia Evans, Esther Winfield, Jesse J. Lozano, Evangeline Zalapa, Edward Lozano, Irene Coronado and Magdalena Yzynaga.
She is survived by her Daughter-in-Law Enedelia Bodah; grandchildren, Anna Marie Bourg, David Hernandez, Amanda McIntyre (Jeff) and Adrianne Josephine Bodah (Kenneth); great-grandchildren, Robert William Bourg, Vivian Luna Bourg, David Paul Hernandez Jr., Steven W. Hernandez, Dylan Muniz and Tyler B. Muniz; one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Roy Akers Funeral Home (515 N. Main Ave.) on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. On Thursday, October 25, 2018 the funeral procession will depart at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Agnes Catholic Church, with interment to follow at San Fernando II.
