

Nancy Camp Telotte passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at the age of 85. She was born January 4, 1925 in Chattanooga, Tennessee and was the only child of Harris and Gladys Camp. She and her family moved to San Antonio on Christmas Day, 1939. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1943. She attended University of Texas for 3 years where she pledged Zeta Tau Alpha. She then married her High School Sweetheart Ted Telotte, Jr. after he returned from his service in the Marines during WWII. She was an outstanding Mother of 4 children, Grandmother of 7 & Great-Grandmother of 4 with 1 more on the way. Her whole life was one of service to others, not because she had to, but because she wanted to. She was a member of Central Christian Church since she arrived in San Antonio. She served the Lord with gladness and goodness, as she served in many capacities; as President of CWF, Circle Leader, Sunday School Teacher, Deacon, Elder and more. She was affectionately known as “The Bread Lady” at Church as she baked as many as 200 loaves a day for some of their Church Bazaars! She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter H, Olmos Park Garden Club, Floribunda Garden Club, African Violet Club, Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity, San Antonio Conservation Society, Lamplighters and more. She was a great leader and supporter of every organization she ever belonged to; in some cases she became their President on multiple occasions. She loved to garden, bake bread, cook, play bridge, do Crossword Puzzles and play with children.
She is preceded by her husband, Ted Telotte Jr. and her oldest son Teddy Camp Telotte. She is survived by her other children; James Mitchell Telotte and his wife Mary and their children Christopher, Melissa and Jennifer of Houston, Texas. William Charles Telotte and his wife Pam and their children, Julie, and Bill of Fairfax, Virginia. Nancy Telotte Clark and her husband Curtis and their children, Ryan and Colin of San Antonio, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home. Services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, December 20, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thom Albin and Nelson Torres of Central Christian Church officiating. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Central Christian Church Endowment Fund, Boysville, or a charity of your choice.
