Mary V. Delao (88), beloved mother and grandmother, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2020 at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, surrounded by her family. She was born on May 17, 1931 and was a lifelong resident of Ventura County. She married her high school sweetheart, Gilbert Delao, in 1954, and they remained happily married for over 50 years. Mary was proceeded in death by her husband Gilbert Delao, her sisters Stella and Julia, and her mother Amelia Castro. She is survived by her son Andrew Delao (wife Shirley; daughter Salena Davis) and her daughters Christina Morua (husband Mike; daughters Christina and Stefanie Morua, and Sarah Villarreal [husband Paul]) and Patricia Mora (husband Matthew; sons Steven and Joseph Jump); sister Helen Garcia, and brother Tony Vasquez (wife Helen).
A viewing will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 2-8PM at Funeraria del angel Stetler Mortuary, 128 S. 8th Street, Santa Paula, CA 93060. Burial services will be at Santa Paula Cemetery Monday, January 20th, 2020 at 11:00 AM.
