Douglas “Dougie” Warren Coffey Jr., age 62, of Sarasota, Florida went to be with Jesus on Sunday, September 8, 2024. He was born to a loving family as the oldest of four boys, to the late Douglas W. Coffey, Sr. and Carolyn Sue Coffey, on December 5, 1961 in Sarasota, Florida where he lived all his life.
He enjoyed listening to Christian Rock music from his radio that was always by his side. For many years he would ride his bike all around Sarasota and had fun making friends along the way. It always brought a smile to his face as he would hand out double bubble gum to kids in his neighborhood as they got off the school bus.
There will be a service to celebrate Dougie’s life on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 3:00PM at Calvary Chapel Sarasota in the youth building (enter side gate) 3800 27th Pkwy, Sarasota, FL 34235. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Church of Hope, Sarasota, FL www.churchohope.com/giving.
Dougie proceeded his father’s passing, Douglas. W. Coffey, and his brothers Robert L Coffey and Victor Bruce Coffey. He survived by his mother, Carolyn Sue Coffey; his brother, Brian Coffey; sister in-law, Wendy Coffey; nieces, Kylie, Ashleigh, and Lilyana; nephews, Jared, Tyler, and Zakary Coffey.
