We are both very sad to hear the news that Maria is no longer with us. My husband and I were customers of her wonderful store Healthy Living and also became friends with Maria. Each time we came in the store we always hugged first and talked about the newest vitamins and always appreciated her knowledge and honesty. We were not aware she became sick as she always looked lovely and so full of life each time we saw her. The last time we were at the store was last year in 2015 as just busy with life stuff and hectic schedules. We went to the store this Saturday, Sept 3 and asked for Maria as we wanted to say hello and see whats new and we were told this very very shocking news by one of the store clerks. We both left the store feeling numb. She will be remembered as a wonderful, happy woman and we will miss her beautiful smile. We wish the best for her husband and sons.

Mi más sentido pésame a todos ustedes por la partida de Maria Antonia. Nosotras jugábamos deportes juntas en nuestros tiempos de secundaria. Hace más de 30 años que nos vimos por última vez, cuando yo me vine a vivir a Philadelphia. Me ha impactado mucho esta noticia.

Aunque tenía tanto tiempo de no verla, no olvido su dulzura, su sonrisa, y su energía positiva. Ella era una atleta de primera clase, tanto en habilidad como en compañerismo.  En los deportes, a veces la competencia saca a relucir lo peor de las personas. En el caso de su madre (y esposa), no era así. Al contrario, los deportes destacaban lo mejor de Maria Antonia. Ella se alegraba cuando uno hacía una buena jugada, aún cuando estuviéramos en equipos contrarios. Cuando jugábamos en el mismo equipo, era aún más alentadora. Yo me sentía bien con ella. Era linda por dentro y por fuera.

Sepan que su mamá dejó un pedacito de ella en cada persona que cruzó su camino. Son dichosos de ser sus hijos...su esposo.

Rezaré mucho por todos. Qué Dios los fortalezca.

I sit here today honoring my friend, my soul sister, Maria Antonia Rosabal de Echeverria, Toña, who is home at last.
Maria Antonia was genuinely, truly happy. She adored Fausto and her 4 wonderful children: Ricky, Roberto y David y Luis. She loved her entire family. She loved her work and her friends and meeting new people and helping people.
She was such a patience, skilled, compassionate, beautiful, poised, warm, genuine and passionate person. Her innate wisdom and natural abilities alleviated pain, anguish and illness, turning suffering into wellness for clients and friends.
Today heaven is beautiful because Toña is there, walking with the Angels in Jesus's loving care. No more hospital, now she is healthy. She was always brave, taking up anything that life put on her plate, taking it with dignity and to the next level, letting God guide her through. Today, after all of her suffering it is her gift to us....to know all is well with her again & the pain is over. We miss her so much already, but she is still with us.
To know Toña was to love Toña. She had this way about her: her energy and kindness invited you into her world and made you feel as if you were right at home; she met our girls and made them feel like they were the most special people, that was her nature, that was her!
She always knew that no dream was too far fetched. She put her heart and soul into her dreams, into store, and she loved it. Toña was BRAVE! She did it! She followed her dream, her soul, her magic. It was not always easy but she trusted God to the end.
Fausto, was more than her husband, he was her partner, best friend and soul mate. He was the kind of a husband every brother prays for their sisters will find and marry. Manuel, Roberto, David, and Ricky were more than her sons, they were the vessels into which she poured an endless supply of love. She was immensely proud of their accomplishments and even more proud of the people they have and are becoming. When she talked about them, her face just lit up like a Christmas tree. I am certain Toña will always be part of them, be with them and never stop watching over them.
Toña would not want anyone feeling pain, sorrow or feeling less than whole, instead she would want to be remembered as the good and decent woman that she was; who loved Fausto, loved her sons, Manuel, Roberto, David, and Ricky, her family, her profession and loved life. I am sure she would like all of us, that knew, her to remember the fun, happy, joyful times we shared with her, and most importantly she would want us to to love God and live, love and laugh like when she was around.
As sad as we feel we must rejoice knowing that Toña is now in an amazing pleace free of disease, pain and suffering. I see her surrounded by the love of our Lord. I can see her talking, laughing hand in hand with don Juan, her dad.
Spiritually, Toña is very much alive in our hearts and in heaven. I know that she is in Heaven due to God's loving nature and due to the way she lived her life while here on earth.
Her friendship was one of the greatest gifts of my lifetime.
Thank you for the lessons you taught me on courage, determination, and bravery. Thank you God for Toña, she will forever be a part of my soul.
I'll end with this: Toña was one of the best, smartest, kindest, fun, most generous, most compassionate people I will ever know, and I am going to miss her every day of my life.
Jorge, the girls and myself, will forever hold Toña in hearts and remember her. She was my soul sister she always believed in Angels, now she flies with them.
We miss you and we will always love you until we meet again!
