William A Rice III

William Adam Rice III of Charleston passed away after a long illness on Wednesday September 14th. Adam was born in Charleston on January 28th, 1976 and a longtime Charleston resident who attended Virginia Episcopal School and received bachelor degrees from Bethany College, Fairmont State, and a Masters degree from University of Charleston. Adam is survived by his brother David, and his wife Janine and daughters Avery J. Rice and Ellen C. Rice. Also surviving are his Parents William A. Rice Jr and Ellen C. Rice. His uncle Michael Rice and his wife Katherine. His uncle Joseph Rice and his wife Cathy, and two cousins Ryan Rice, and Christopher Rice and his wife Christy and their two children Charlie and Meryl Anne. Aunt Mary Elizabeth Olson and cousins Matthew Olson and Ingrid Olson. Adam enjoyed sports, art, playing poker and trying to fix everyone else's problems. Adam loved all of his many friends to a fault, and best friend Sean Whitten and his loyal dog Bob. Adam was preceded in death by his grandparents, William A. Rice Sr., and Shirley Rice Lewis and step grandfather Allenby Lewis. Dr. John Crites and Mary Crites, Uncles John and Mike Crites. Also by Buckley. In keeping with his wishes, his body was cremated and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
