Francis (Gideon) Fields was born April 24, 1934, in Montgomery County, Texas, to C.E. and Francis (Collins) Gideon. She worked for El Paso Natural Gas for over 30 years before retiring in 1996. She married Carl Fields on July 29, 2000, in El Paso, Texas. Francis was an avid reader, loved puzzles and games and was an excellent cook. Her specialties were her pralines, meatloaf and chicken enchiladas. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and a friend, but the title she appreciated the most was being called a Child of the King. She was a follower of Jesus and was a member of the Scottsdale Baptist Church in El Paso, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; her parents; and two sons: John David Torres and Robin Perry Kemp.
She is survived by four children: Richard Dean Kemp, Pennsylvania, Diane Cyphers, Newalla, OK, Stella R. Kelley and her husband, Paul, Newalla, OK and Steve D. Torres, Dallas, TX; four grandchildren: Athena Ruddick, Charlie McCoy, John D. Kelley and Rachel A. Kelley; five great grandchildren: Brandon Ruddick, Gavin Ruddick, Hannah Ruddick, Dylan McCoy and Jacob McCoy; one brother: Kenneth Robison, Dallas, TX; three sisters: Dale Farrington, Christine Draper and Connie Feazell, all of Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
