Joe Howard Crosby, 90, a WW II Navy Veteran, passed away July 18, 2011. Joe served as a Carpenter's Mate Third Class in the U S Navy from 1943 - 1946; and was retired with 37 years service from Southern Bell in 1983. Joe is survived by his wife of 69 years, Anne Elizabeth Snell Crosby, sons and daughter-in-law, Joe Howard Crosby, Jr. and James Allen & Renee Crosby; daughter and son-in-law, Tommye Anne & Rick Armstrong; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in the Eternal Hills Chapel with Rev. James H. Snell, Jr., brother of the widow, will officiate. Interment, Eternal Hills Memory Gardens with military honors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6500 Sugarloaf Pkwy., S-260, Duluth, GA 30097.
