Born in New Bedford, son of the late Stephen S. Brodo, Sr., and Ruth M. (Benjamin) Brodo, he lived in Dartmouth for 19 years.
Stephen had worked for the N.B. School Department for more than 25 years. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandson.
Survivors include his wife, Diane; 5 children, Suzanne Lewis and her husband, Robert, Christine Sameiro, Sandra Debiasse and her husband, David, Stephen S. III and his wife, Erica and Matthew and his wife Marianne; 9 grandchildren; a great-grandson; 4 sisters, Karen Moran, Gail Couture, Debra Hartzell and Stacy Jones; 2 brothers, Kevin and the late Robert W. Brodo; many nieces and nephews; and many good friends. He especially enjoyed his Saturday night card games.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 9am in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Dartmouth, 230 Russells Mills Rd., Dartmouth. Visiting hours Friday 5-9pm. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
