Jay M. Riseman

Born in Boston, he was a son of the late Dr. Benjamin and Lillian Riseman. Jay lived in Brookline, Southboro, and later on Cape Cod. Upon graduating from college, he worked as a stockbroker. He also worked in clothing sales for Women's Better Sportswear, in Telecommunications sales for many years, and at an Italian Supermarket later in life. Most recently, he served as the Assistant Site Coordinator for Meals on Wheels at the South Dennis Senior Center.

Jay was an avid wine collector. He enjoyed participating in wine tastings and traveling to wineries around the country, as well as when he traveled to Tuscany. He had a passion for fine dining and grilling, particularly steaks. Jay was family oriented and adored his two Bichons, Benny and Ari, just as much as they adored him.

In addition to his wife, Susan, he is survived and will be deeply missed by his daughter, Samantha Salisbury and her boyfriend Brad McCarthy; a brother, Paul Riseman and his wife Pat; their children Seth and Dennis; and a brother and sister in law, Ernie and Carrie Finestone; and their children Amanda and Julie.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, May 13th from 10 to 11 a.m. at Doane Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 729 Rt. 134, South Dennis. His funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. inside the funeral home followed by burial at Brewster Cemetery, Lower Rd.
