Arlene F. Richter, 80, passed away on September 13, 2020 at Newton Memorial Hospital, Newton, NJ. Arlene was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and had lived in Florida for the past 5 years. Arlene met the man of her dreams Bob at the age of 16. They married a few years later when they both turned 18. Their bond and lifelong love affair never wavered. It was that love that created their three children. Arlene was a woman who always went above and beyond for her family. She had a love of entertaining and the holidays were no exception. The Christmas decor would rival any Macy's window display. She graciously hosted many holiday celebrations for our extended family which we all cherish including many Easter dinners serving 32 family members. She was happiest when spending time with her family and friends celebrating the blessings in life. She also loved playing cards, spending time knitting and creating beautiful jewelry. Arlene was a woman of faith who was happy to volunteer at the many churches she attended. All of the above mentioned things gave her great joy but pale in comparison to the blessing of having Grandsons. Arlene's eyes always lit up with pride and joy when talking, seeing or hearing about her treasured grandsons. We will continue her legacy of love by following her lead and always cherishing family and friends.
Arlene is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Robert J. Richter; devoted mother of Donna Pincus and husband Steve, Robert Richter Jr. and wife Sally, and Kristin Imgrund and husband John. She is also survived by her five loving grandsons: Matthew, Robbie, John, Jack and Justin who always made her feel proud and loved. She is also survived by three sisters: Carol Mikelbank and husband Jim; Janet Putnam and husband Randy and Virginia Ehlinger. Arlene was cherished by numerous in-laws and loved by countless nieces and nephews.
