IN THE CARE OF

Goble Funeral Home

Erin Julia Beebe was called back to God on April 4th, 2022. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Baltimore, Maryland. Born on March 13, 1996, to loving parents Charlene and Jeff, Erin was welcomed adoringly into the family by her big brother, Ryan. Ryan became her best friend and protector early on and the depth of their bond comforted and sustained them through every stage of life. She attended Reverend George A. Brown Memorial School, Pope John XXIII High School and graduated from Sparta High School in June of 2014. It was at these institutions that her love of science was ignited and fostered. She was embraced and beloved by her peers, teachers and coaches for her diligence, kindness and dedication. Her love of science brought her to Muhlenberg College, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Neuroscience in May 2018. She fervently dove into her academic life there and during this journey, her interests transformed into a calling - one to which she would devote the remainder of her life. Following graduation, she worked as a Laboratory Research Assistant at University of Maryland, Baltimore. After that, she was employed as a Research Technologist in the Department of Neurology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She was thrilled to have been accepted into a PHD program at the Medical College of Wisconsin and was scheduled to begin her studies there this coming fall. Although short in years, Erin lived a substantial and notable life. She was compassionate and deeply empathetic, dedicating her free time and energy to an array of causes that were near and dear to her heart. Her altruism was as essential to her life as her professional pursuits. She also had a true love of animals and was a doting caregiver to her family dog, Scooter, and her cat, Sage, who she rescued during the pandemic. Erin was an academic at heart - she loved books, poetry, music and puzzles. Like many of her favorite literary heroines, she was passionate, kind, witty, sassy and loyal. She understood that the journey inward begins early on in life. Her ability to work on herself made her vocational work so much more impactful. Her true beauty was in her incredibly generous heart and her astute mind. An inspiration to her family and friends, she will be missed beyond measure. A line in one of her favorite songs by The Smiths reads, “Oh there is a light and it never goes out”. May we all be warmed and guided by Erin’s eternal light. Erin is survived by her mother Charlene Beebe and spouse Gerald Dorman, her father Jeffrey Beebe and spouse Sandra Beebe and her loving brother, Ryan. Erin also leaves behind her aunt Judith (Geoffrey) Zoeller, uncle Joseph (Nancy) Beebe, uncle John Paul (Erika) Beebe, uncle Jimmy (Kelly) Beebe, uncle Ronald (Kamila) Reap and ten beloved cousins. Visitation for Erin will be held Sunday, April 10th from 1:00PM - 5:00PM at Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 294 S. Sparta Ave., Sparta, NJ on Monday, April 11th at 11AM . A graveside service will follow at Sparta Cemetery, 32 Main St., Sparta, NJ 07871. In lieu of flowers, donations in Erin's memory can be made to Muhlenberg College Department of Neuroscience 2400 W. Chew St., Allentown, Pa 18204.
