Salisbury, IL-Junella L. Leach, 95, of Salsbury, formerly of Springfield, passed away at her home, Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019.

She was born in Oklahoma, September 28, 1924 the daughter of Benjamin Earl and Melvina (Apperson) Luckenbill. She earn a double master’s degree from Western Illinois University and served as a 1st grade teach for Springfield School District 186, at Butler School retiring in 1990.

She married Rev. Dr. Glenn Hall Leach in Oakland CA, May 8, 1955. Together, they raised their children and she was by his side as he served in several capacities within the Baptist Church. She was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and Elliott Ave. Baptist Church.

Her husband and her daughter Mary, preceded her in death.

Surviving are her son, Paul (Beth) Leach of Salisbury, and two grandsons; Alex Leach of Chicago, and Chris (Keri) Leach of Lincoln, NE.

Funeral services will be held at Elliott Ave Baptist Church on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019 at 10:30 am with Rev. Dr. Daniel Holland officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the church from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
